(1) If a motor vehicle or a trailer has remained in breakdown on the carriageway of the road and cannot be moved outside it, the driver of the motor vehicle is obliged to activate the hazard warning lights and to install the reflective triangles.
(2) The reflective triangles are installed in front and behind the vehicle, on the same traffic lane, at a distance of at least 30 m from it, so that they can be observed in time by the traffic participants who are approaching. In the urban area, when the traffic is intense, the reflective triangles can be placed at a smaller distance or even on the vehicle, so that they can be observed in time by the other drivers of vehicles.

(5) The hazard warning lights are used in the following situations:
a) when the vehicle is involuntarily immobilized on the carriageway;
b) when the vehicle moves very slowly and/or constitutes itself a danger for the other traffic participants;
c) when the motor vehicle, the agricultural or forestry tractor or the tram is towed.

(6) In the situations provided in paragraph (5), the drivers of motor vehicles, agricultural or forestry tractors and trams must activate the hazard warning lights, successively, in the order of stopping and in case this maneuver is required by the blockage of the traffic on the direction of travel.
