Overtaking is the maneuver by which a vehicle moves ahead of another vehicle or past an obstacle, located on the same lane of travel, by changing the direction of travel and leaving the traffic lane or the line of vehicles in which it was initially. [OUG* Art. 45 paragraph (1)]

1. Whether we want to move ahead of another vehicle located on the same lane, or whether we want to avoid an obstacle on the carriageway located on the same lane, it is still called overtaking;
