The intersection is controlled with light signals, all motor vehicles have positioned themselves correctly and must respect the meaning of the light signals of the traffic lights. In this situation we encounter two traffic lights with signals of different colours. However, under each traffic light there is installed an additional panel, in this case the signal of the traffic light will be respected by those whose direction of movement is found on these additional panels.
Moreover, we must also take into account the arrow markings applied on each traffic lane, these oblige to respect the direction or the directions indicated by those arrows. For example, if on the lane on which you are there is the marking that obliges to travel only in the straight ahead direction, you must follow only this direction, but taking into account the colour of the traffic light for that direction. In the situation shown in the image of the question all three motor vehicles have positioned themselves correctly for the desired directions of travel.
Therefore, the green car wants to turn right and will have to respect the meaning of the signal of the traffic light on the right side, so it cannot continue its movement. The truck wants to travel straight ahead and must respect the meaning of the signal of the traffic light on the right side, so it cannot continue its movement. The red car wants to turn left and will have to respect the signal of the traffic light on the left side, so it can continue its movement. Thus, the only one that can continue its movement in this case is the red car.
The correct answer is: C
Regulation** - Article 51
(1) The green colour signal allows passing.
[...]
Regulation** - Article 52
(1) The red colour signal prohibits passing.
[...]
Regulation** - Article 49
On the red or green colour lamps of the traffic lights black colour arrows may be applied which indicate the directions of movement corresponding to these. In this case the prohibition or permission of passing imposed by the light signal is limited to the direction or directions indicated by these arrows. The arrows applied on the additional panels that accompany, on the lower part, the traffic lights have the same meaning. The arrow for straight ahead has the tip upwards.
** Regulation = REGULATION for the implementation of OUG 195/2002 updated (The Road Code Regulation)
