(6) The significance of prohibition or restriction signs begins at their position. In the absence of a signalling that specifies the length of the section to which the regulation applies or of signs announcing the end of the prohibition or restriction, the significance of these signs ends at the nearest intersection. When the prohibition or restriction signs are installed together with the sign announcing the entry into an urban area, their significance is valid on that road until the encounter of the sign “Exit from the urban area”, except for the places where other signs provide otherwise.
