Explanation

The marking consisting of a zigzag line applied on the edge of the carriageway prohibits waiting on the road section on which it is applied.

Attention! This prohibits the maneuver of waiting, it does not also prohibit the maneuver of stopping. The marking consisting of a zigzag line must not be confused with the marking for bus, trolleybus, taxi stops or tram stops that are not provided with a pedestrian refuge, which have, in addition to the zigzag line, also the inscription “Bus”, “Taxi” or “Tram”. On the marking consisting of a zigzag line completed by the inscription “Bus”, “Taxi” or “Tram”, as well as at less than 25 meters before and after it, the maneuver of stopping is prohibited, as well as all maneuvers that are prohibited where the maneuver of stopping is prohibited, more precisely waiting, U-turn and moving in reverse.

In conclusion, if the marking consisting of a zigzag line is not completed by one of the inscriptions “Bus”, “Taxi” or “Tram”, only waiting is prohibited, not stopping.

We recommend that you also consult the articles from the updated traffic legislation, which are found a little below.
