We must remember that the reduction of the travelling speed is obligatory when approaching another vehicle that moves from the opposite direction (comes from the opposite direction towards the vehicle you drive), starting from at least 200 meters from it. In these situations, besides the reduction of the speed, you must also use the meeting lights. For more details consult the explanation from answer C.
The overtaking of another vehicle that moves in front of you is not prohibited to you when you move during the night.
When you move during the night, regardless of whether the road is or is not illuminated, when approaching another motor vehicle that moves in front of you, more exactly that moves in the same direction as you, on the same lane, you are obliged that from the distance of at least 100 meters from it to use the meeting lights.
If at that moment you move with the main beam lights functioning, you must change them with the meeting lights (dipped beam), in order to not disturb those in front.
If at that moment you move having functioning, instead of the meeting lights, the daytime running lights (DRL), you must switch on the meeting lights (dipped beam).
The purpose of this obligation is to offer a better visibility to the driver and to be better observed by the other traffic participants.
We must make the difference between the following two situations that we meet in the quiz questions but also in everyday traffic:
The correct answer is: C
Regulation** - Article 114
[...]
(2) During the night, when approaching two vehicles that move from opposite directions, the drivers of these are obliged that from a distance of at least 200 m to use the meeting lights simultaneously with the reduction of the speed. When the driver of motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor approaches a motor vehicle that moves in front, he is obliged to use the meeting lights from a distance of at least 100 m.
The road legislation does not provide anything in this sense.
