Road traffic legislation requires that the load of a vehicle be placed and, if necessary, fixed, respecting the following aspects:

  • the load must not endanger traffic participants or any other persons and must not cause damage to public or private property;
  • the load must not impede the driver's visibility or affect the stability and maneuverability of the vehicle;
  • the load must not be dragged, must not leak and must not fall onto the road;
  • the load must not cover the signalling devices, reflectors and the plates with the registration or record number or the temporary number plates, and in the case of vehicles without a motor, it must not cover the signals made with the arms by their driver;
  • the load must not produce noise that disturbs the driver, traffic participants or scares animals or produces dust or pestilential odours.
