Explanation

To reduce the effects of fatigue at the wheel and maintain safety, it is recommended to take breaks of about 15 minutes every two hours of driving. These breaks help you rest and regain your concentration, reducing the risks associated with fatigue.

Signs of fatigue:

  • Heavy eyelids and increased blinking frequency;
  • Frequent and prolonged yawning, indicating lack of energy;
  • Watery eyes, a clear sign of ocular fatigue.

Signs that precede sleep:

  • A pleasant drowsy state, which reduces alertness;
  • Dozing off for a few seconds, even unintentionally;
  • Complete relaxation of the muscles of the hands and feet, which makes the trajectory of the vehicle unpredictable.

Effects of fatigue on driving:

  • Delay in noticing signs and other elements in traffic;
  • Incorrect assessment of travel speed or distances;
  • Increased nervousness, aggressiveness or stress level;
  • Decrease in the ability to analyze and anticipate situations on the road;
  • Increased risk of falling asleep at the wheel, endangering everyone’s safety.

To avoid these consequences, recognize the signs of fatigue and take immediate measures, such as stopping and resting. This preventive approach is essential to protect both yourself and the other road users.

The correct answer is: A
