In the case of loss, theft or deterioration of the driving license you must address the issuing unit, where you must declare the loss the theft or its deterioration, with the issuing unit subsequently issuing to you either a duplicate of the driving license or a new driving license with a new administrative validity. (5^4) At the request of the holder of the driving license, the competent authority issues, for the situations provided in paragraph (5^1) and (5^2), a replacement proof of it, valid until the issuing of the driving license, but not more than 30 days.
