Question 53 of 1208

In which of the following situations is stopping prohibited?

A on unlit road sections;
B at a distance of less than 5 m from the back of a tram;
C on European national roads.

Explanation

For answer  A

On unlit road sections stopping is NOT prohibited. Moreover it is not specified whether the situation takes place during the day or at night. We must take into account that when we are waiting on the carriageway of an unlit road, at night, in a place where this maneuver is allowed, we have the obligation to use the position lights or parking lights.

For answer  B

The traffic legislation does not prohibit stopping at a distance of less than 5 meters from the back of a tram, there is no article in the legislation specifying this. But we must take into account that stopping is prohibited in the stations of public passenger transport means, as well as at less than 25 m before and after them. The legislation also specifies that when you encounter a tram stopped in a station without a pedestrian refuge, you are obliged to stop behind the tram, and you may resume your movement only after the doors of the tram have been closed and you have made sure that you do not endanger the safety of the pedestrians engaged in crossing the public road.

For answer  C

The traffic regulation prohibits the voluntary stopping of vehicles on the carriageway of European National Roads (E), not to be confused with simple National Roads.

The correct answer is: C

Recommendations:
The places where the stopping maneuver is prohibited - Audio-Video Lesson --> Road Code - Stopping, waiting and parking
The correct use of the lighting and signalling system - Audio-Video Lesson --> Road Code - The technical condition of vehicles and the lighting and luminous signalling system
