Road legislation does not provide that the age of motor vehicles influences the deadline for performing the periodic technical inspection (ITP) before the normal established term.
Motor vehicles in category B must undergo the periodic technical inspection (the ITP) every 2 years. However, if the vehicle has an age of at least 12 years, the ITP will be done annually, except for vehicles of historical interest.
If the braking or steering systems are severely damaged, the vehicle must be urgently repaired in authorized workshops equipped with qualified personnel, and after repair, to ensure traffic safety, redoing the ITP is mandatory, even if the validity period has not yet expired.
Motor vehicles used for learning to drive, more precisely those of driving schools, must perform the ITP annually. Redoing the ITP before this one-year term will be done if it is in a situation such as that in answer B.
The correct answer is: B

b) motor vehicles intended for the transport of persons which have, apart from the driver's seat, at most 8 seats, every 2 years, respectively every one year in the case of motor vehicles that are at least 12 years old, except for vehicles of historical interest;

d) motor vehicles performing passenger transport in taxi regime, as well as motor vehicles performing RENT CAR activities, as defined in art. 1^1 letter aa) of Law no. 38/2003 regarding taxi and rental transport, with subsequent amendments and completions - every 6 months;
d^1) motor vehicles used for learning to drive - every one year, except for motor vehicles used for learning to drive that have, apart from the driver's seat, more than 8 seats, for which the periodicity is 6 months;
d^2) special ambulance motor vehicles - every one year;
e) motor vehicles intended for the transport of goods, having a maximum authorized total mass greater than 3,500 kg - every one year;
f) trailers and semitrailers having a maximum authorized total mass greater than 3,500 kg - every one year;
g) motor vehicles intended for the transport of goods, having a maximum authorized total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg - every one year;
h) trailers and semitrailers having a maximum authorized total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg - every 2 years, with the following exceptions:
- trailers and semitrailers approved for the transport of dangerous goods, for which the periodicity is one year;
- beekeeping trailers and semitrailers, as well as caravans, for which the periodicity is 3 years;
i) motorcycles, mopeds, three-wheeled motor vehicles and quadricycles - every 2 years;
j) tractors having a maximum authorized total mass greater than 3,500 kg - every one year;
k) tractors having a maximum authorized total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg - every 2 years;
l) repealed;
m) self-propelled machines, except those provided in art. 6^5 - every 2 years.
