Explanation

Besides the obligation to stop at the signals of the traffic police officer, the participants in traffic are obliged to stop also at the signal of blind persons, signal made by raising the white cane, when they cross the street. The obligation to stop at this signal is valid even in the places where there is no pedestrian crossing marking. Failure to respect the meaning of this signal is sanctioned with contravention fine provided in the second class of sanctions.
