Explanation

For answer  A

The traffic legislation does not prohibit performing the maneuver of overtaking a tram on the left side, but it sets certain rules that must be respected when performing this maneuver. See the explanations for answers B and C.

For answer  B

The maneuver of overtaking a tram, both on the left side and on the right side, is prohibited when it is stopped in a station that is NOT provided with a refuge for pedestrians. Therefore, answer B is not correct.

For answer  C

Trams are overtaken, generally, on the right side. However, trams in motion can be overtaken also on the left side, when between the right rail and the edge of the sidewalk there is not enough space for performing the maneuver or when the road is one-way. Therefore, a tram in motion can be overtaken on the left side, when between the right rail and the curb there is not enough space for overtaking.

The correct answer is: C
