GENERAL Learning Environment Category B (B, B1)
Question 785 of 1208

How will you signal the fact that the motor vehicle with which you drive has remained in breakdown on the carriageway?

A by using the position lights;
B by installing the reflective triangles and by using the hazard warning lights;
C by wearing the reflective vest.

Explanation

For answer  A

The road legislation DOES NOT provide the obligation to use the position lights when the vehicle with which you drive has remained in breakdown on the carriageway.

For answer  B

In the situation in which you remain with the vehicle in breakdown on the carriageway, you must take it immediately off the carriageway. And if removing it off the carriageway is not possible, you must move it next to the curb or shoulder, signalling the vehicle by putting into function the hazard warning lights and by installing the reflective triangles at at least 30 meters before and after it.

For answer  C

The road legislation provides that only the drivers of the motor vehicles and agricultural or forestry tractors with the maximum authorized mass greater than 3.5 tonnes must wear, obligatorily, fluorescent-reflective protection-warning equipment when they perform interventions at the vehicle which is on the carriageway of the public road. This obligation is not for the drivers of the vehicles from category B.

The correct answer is: B
