(1) The red signal prohibits passing.
(2) At the red signal the vehicle must be stopped before the stop marking or, as the case may be, before the marking for the pedestrian crossing, and in its absence, at the traffic light. If the traffic light is installed above or on the other side of the intersection, in the absence of the stop marking or of the marking for the pedestrian crossing, the vehicle must be stopped before the edge of the carriageway of the road which is to be intersected.
(3) When the red signal operates simultaneously with the yellow one, it announces the appearance of the green signal.
