In addition to the obligation to stop at the signals of the traffic police officer, the participants in traffic are obliged to also immediately stop at the signals addressed for this purpose by the directing personnel of the Ministry of Defense. The latter may perform, in addition to stopping signals, also the following signals: the swinging of the arm in the vertical plane, with the palm of the hand oriented toward the ground or with a means of signalling, which signifies speed reduction, as well as the brisk rotation of the arm, which signifies the increase of the speed of movement of the vehicles, including the speeding up of the crossing of the road by pedestrians. Failure to comply with these signals is sanctioned with a fine provided in the second class of sanctions.
The road legislation does not provide the obligation to stop at the signals addressed by a driver who broke down, in order to tow him.
