Art. 143. –
Is prohibited the voluntary waiting of vehicles:
a) in all cases in which the voluntary stopping is prohibited;
b) in the action area of the sign with the meaning “No waiting” and of the marking with the meaning of prohibition of waiting;
c) on public roads with a width less than 6 m;
d) at the access ways that serve the properties adjacent to public roads;
e) on slopes and on hills;
f) in the place where the sign with the meaning “Alternating waiting”, in another day or period than the permitted one, or the sign with the meaning “Waiting area with limited duration” over the established duration, is installed.
Art. 142. – Is prohibited the voluntary stopping of vehicles:
a) in the action area of the sign “No stopping”;
b) at the level crossings with the current railway and at a distance less than 50 m before and after these;
c) on bridges, on and under uneven passages, as well as on viaducts;
d) in curves and in other places with reduced visibility under 50 m;
e) on pedestrian crossings or at less than 25 m before and before these;
f) in intersections, including those with traffic in roundabout, as well as in the preselecție area where continuous markings are applied, and in their absence, at a distance less than 25 m from the corner of the intersection;
g) in the stations of public transport means for persons, as well as at less than 25 m before and after these;
h) at the right of another vehicle stopped on the carriageway, if through this the circulation of two vehicles coming from opposite directions is hindered, as well as at the right of the continuous marking, in the case in which the drivers of the other vehicles that circulate in the same direction would be obliged, because of this, to pass over this marking;
i) in the place where the visibility over a sign or luminous signal is hindered;
j) on the road sectors where the signs with the meaning “Road narrowing”, “Priority for the traffic from the opposite direction” or “Priority over the traffic from the opposite direction” are installed;
k) on the mandatory lanes for pedestrians and/or cyclists or on the lanes reserved for certain categories of vehicles, signalled as such;
l) on the platform of the industrial railway or tramway or at less than 50 m from these, if the circulation of vehicles on rails could be hindered or prevented;
m) on the carriageway of motorways, express roads and European national roads (E);
n) on the sidewalk, if a space of at least 1 m for the circulation of pedestrians is not ensured;
o) on bicycle lanes;
p) in the places where overtaking is prohibited.
