Art. 116.

(1) The drivers of vehicles are obliged to signal the change of the direction of travel, overtaking, stopping and putting into motion.

(2) The intention of the drivers of motor vehicles, trams or mopeds to change the direction of travel, to exit from a row of stationary vehicles or to enter such a row, to move to another traffic lane or to turn to the right or to the left or who are about to perform U-turn, overtaking or stopping is signalled by activating the direction indicator lights at least 50 m in the urban areas and 100 m outside the urban areas, before starting to perform the maneuvers.

(3) The reduction of the speed of travel or the stopping of motor vehicles, trams or mopeds on the carriageway is signalled with the red rear light.
