OUG - Article 49

(1) The maximum speed limit in the urban areas is 50 km/h.

(2) On certain road sections within built-up area, the road administrator may establish, for the motor vehicles of categories A and B, speed limits higher, but no more than 80 km/h. The speed limits higher than 50 km/h are established only with the approval of the traffic police.

(3) On certain road sections, taking into account the circumstances and the traffic intensity, the road administrator, with the approval of the traffic police, may also establish lower speed limits, but no less than 10 km/h for trams and 30 km/h for all motor vehicles.

OUG - Article 50

(1) The maximum permitted speeds outside built-up area for the categories of motor vehicles provided in Annex no. 1 are the following:
a) 130 km/h on motorways, 120 km/h on express roads, 100 km/h on national European roads (E) and 90 km/h on the other categories of roads, for the motor vehicles of categories A and B;
b) 110 km/h on motorways, 100 km/h on express roads, 90 km/h on national European roads (E) and 80 km/h on the other categories of roads, for the motor vehicles of categories C, D and category D1;
c) 90 km/h on motorways, 85 km/h on express roads, 80 km/h on national European roads (E) and 70 km/h for the other categories of roads, for the motor vehicles of categories A1, B1 and C1;
d) 45 km/h, for agricultural or forestry tractors and mopeds.
