(1) If a motor vehicle or a trailer has remained in breakdown on the carriageway of the road and cannot be moved outside it, the driver of the motor vehicle is obliged to put into operation the hazard warning lights and to install the reflective triangles.
(2) The reflective triangles are installed in front and behind the vehicle, on the same traffic lane, at a distance of at least 30 m from it, so that they can be observed in time by the participants in traffic who are approaching. In urban areas, when the traffic is intense, the reflective triangles can be placed at a smaller distance or even on the vehicle, so that they can be observed in time by the other drivers of vehicles.

(5) The hazard warning lights are used in the following situations:
a) when the vehicle is involuntarily immobilized on the carriageway;
b) when the vehicle moves very slowly and/or constitutes itself a danger for the other participants in traffic;
c) when the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor or tram is towed.
