Traffic participants are obliged to also respect the signals of the members of the school traffic patrols, at the pedestrian crossings near educational institutions.
It is not mandatory to stop at the signals given by the authorized personnel within the Ministry of Transport (not to be confused with the traffic guides of the Ministry of Defense), or at those given by the officials who carry out their activity within the Road Administration (not to be confused with the authorized personnel in the area of works on public roads).

Art. 89.
(1) The stopping of the traffic participants is also mandatory at the signals given by:
a) the border police officers;
b) the traffic guides of the Ministry of Defense;
c) the railway agents, at the level crossings;
d) the authorized personnel in the area of works on public roads;
e) the members of the school traffic patrols, at the pedestrian crossings near educational institutions;
f) the blind persons, by raising the white cane, when they cross the street.
(2) The persons provided in paragraph (1) letters a) – d) may also perform the following signals:
a) the swinging of the arm in the vertical plane, with the palm facing the ground or with a means of signalling, which signifies reducing the speed;
b) the brisk rotation of the arm, which signifies increasing the traveling speed of the vehicles, including urging the pedestrians to hurry in crossing the road.
