OUG - Article 8

To be driven on public roads, motor vehicles, except those in categories AM, A1, A2 and A, agricultural or forestry tractors and trams must be equipped with a first aid medical kit, two reflective triangles and an approved fire extinguisher. (Article 8 was amended in the law and updated also on Școala Rutieră on 13-04-2024)

OUG - Article 35

(6) The drivers of motor vehicles and agricultural or forestry tractors with a maximum authorized mass greater than 3.5 tons are obliged to wear fluorescent-reflective protective-warning equipment when performing interventions at the vehicle that is on the carriageway of the public road.

 

Regulation - Article 147

The driver of a motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor or tram is obliged: (The introductory part of Article 147 was amended and updated on www.scoalarutiera.ro on 06-10-2021)

1. to have with him the identity document, the driving license, the registration or recording certificate and, as the case may be, the professional certificate, as well as the other documents provided by the legislation in force;

3. to check the functioning of the lighting and signalling system, the air conditioning system, to keep permanently clean the windshield, rear window and side windows of the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor, as well as the license plates of the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor and trailer; (Point 3 was amended and updated on www.scoalarutiera.ro on 06-10-2021)

Road Traffic Code - The obligations of drivers when departing on the route

The obligations of motor vehicle drivers that we will discuss are grouped as follows:

  • Obligations before departing on the route;
  • Obligations during travel;
  • Obligations for the transport of children;
  • Obligations in case of accident;
  • Obligations in case of the technical malfunction of the motor vehicle;
  • The obligations of drivers of motor vehicles with less than 1 year of experience;
  • The obligations of drivers of trams, buses and trolleybuses;
  • The obligations of drivers of vehicles intended for the transport of goods;
  • The obligations of owners or holders;
  • Obligations when towing vehicles;
  • The obligations of drivers of mopeds and bicycles;
  • The obligations of pedestrians.

OBLIGATIONS BEFORE DEPARTING ON THE ROUTE

The driver of a motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor or tram is obliged to have with him the identity document, the driving license, the registration or recording certificate and, as the case may be, the professional certificate, as well as the other documents provided by the legislation in force (art. 147 point 1 of the Regulation).

To be driven on public roads, each motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor and tram must be equipped with a first aid medical kit, two reflective triangles and an approved fire extinguisher. Motor vehicles in categories AM, A1, A2 and A are exempt from this obligation. (art. 8 of OUG).

The drivers of motor vehicles and agricultural or forestry tractors with a maximum authorized mass greater than 3.5 tons are obliged to wear fluorescent-reflective protective-warning equipment when performing interventions at the vehicle that is on the carriageway of the public road (art. 35 paragraph 6 of OUG).

The driver of a motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor or tram is obliged to check the functioning of the lighting and signalling system, the air conditioning system, to keep permanently clean the windshield, rear window and side windows of the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor, as well as the license plates of the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor and trailer (art. 147 point 3 of the Regulation).
