Regaining the cancelled driving permit

The examination file for regaining the driving permit must include the following documents:

• the standard request, signed by the candidate, in which the candidate’s own responsibility statement is also recorded, given under the sanction provided by art. 326 of the Criminal Code, from which it results the fulfilment of one of the conditions provided in art. 3 paragraph (2) of MAI Order no. 268/2010;
• the extract from the criminal record within the validity period;
• the proof of payment of the value of the driving permit;
• medical form type driver - document issued by an authorised medical assistance unit through which proof is provided that the person is medically fit for driving motor vehicles of the group from which the requested category belongs (group I: categories A, A1, A2, Am, B, B1, BE respectively group II: C, C1, C1E, CE, D, D1, D1E, DE, Tr, Tv, Tb);
• psychological approval - document from which it results that the person is psychologically fit to drive motor vehicles on public roads and which is issued by an authorised specialised laboratory.

My driving permit was cancelled. What are the conditions for me to attend the examination for regaining the right to drive vehicles?

The person whose driving permit was cancelled may attend the examination for obtaining a new driving permit, for all categories held previously, as applicable, if one of the following situations has occurred:

a) 6 months have passed since the date of execution of the fine penalty or the penalty in the regime of deprivation of liberty or at the workplace;
b) one year has passed since the date of pardon of the penalty or from the final decision of the court by which the suspension of the execution of the penalty under supervision was ordered;
c) amnesty has occurred;
d) the prohibition of the right to drive certain categories of vehicles established by the court provided in art. 66 paragraph (1) letter i) of the Criminal Code, has expired or has been revoked.
